When should I use the Care Notes page?

Any time you want more room. Some people use it alongside the Daily Care Log on busy days, and others use it by itself as a simple running record.

What should I write in care notes?

Anything you or the next person helping would want to know: what happened, how the person seemed, and anything you are unsure about.

How do I keep my notes useful?

Stick to what you noticed, and add the time. "Refused breakfast at 9" is easier to act on later than "bad morning."

Who are the notes for?

For you first. It is easy to think you will remember the details, and a short note saves you from having to. They are also helpful for family who share the care and for the care team.

Is this the same as the notes section on the Daily Care Log?

It is a longer version. The Daily Care Log has a few lines for concerns and notes. Use this page when you need more space.

Can you make a different version?

Tell us what you need. If large print, a weekly layout, another language, or an extra section would help, email hello@carespondence.com. We use these requests to decide what to make next.

Is there a way to do this on my phone?

Yes. The Carespondence app lets you tap to record care as it happens and share an update with family or the care team. It is free for 7 days.
