Common questions

Common questions

Why track vitals at home?

Writing readings down in one place makes it easier to see trends and notice changes early. Some people track for their own peace of mind, and others because a doctor asked. Either way, a record over several days tells you more than any single reading.

Which vitals should I track?

Every care situation is a little different. Some people track only blood pressure, and others follow several readings. If you are not sure where to start, the doctor or nurse can tell you which ones are most useful. Fill in those columns and leave the rest blank.

Why write down the time?

Readings change through the day. Noting the time lets you compare one reading with another and see patterns, such as numbers that run higher in the morning.

Can I use this as a blood pressure log only?

Yes. Fill in the time and blood pressure columns and skip the others.

What if a reading seems off?

Write it down with the time and anything that might explain it. If you are worried, call the doctor's office. This page is a record and does not replace their advice.

Is this the same as the vitals section on the Daily Care Log?

It is a longer version. The Daily Care Log has room for one set of readings. Use this page when you take more than one in a day.

Can you make a different version?

Tell us what you need. If large print, a weekly layout, another language, or an extra section would help, email hello@carespondence.com. We use these requests to decide what to make next.
